For some reason remember reading somewhere that the 2019 i5 is better than the i7 2018 model. Does this have tb3?

The i5 in the 2019 model is the newer Whiskey lake that is about 5% faster than the Kaby Lake i7 in the 2018 model.

The 2019 i5 is the much better deal for the same price.

* I believe it also comes with nvme ssd as opposed to the sata ssd for the 2018 in the m.2 slot.

Edit: I take the above back. Both come with SATA SSDs but you can replace it with a nvme card in the m.2 slot in the 2019. Don't know for sure that is possible in the 2018 model.

Do you know if either has tb3 or is it only on the 15"?

Does anyone what else is different between the 2019 & 2018 models? And how is LG as a Laptop brand?

So it appears the consensus is that the i5 version is better because it's a year older CPU? I still have mine sitting in the box in my living room.
