I've bought '2nds' from All-Clad for years...and if you didn't know they were...you wouldn't know they were. May be a scuff or something here or there (that you'd get anyway, the first time you used them), but nothing to detract from their usability.

Don't let that term scare you off.

Please find below a review I found here https://yourbetterkitchen.com/all...s-tri-ply/ :

Pros and Cons of the All-Clad D5

Pros

Induction compatible
Easy cleanup
Durable
Heats evenly
Better at storing heat

Cons

Heavy and thus, slightly difficult to lift
Has the lowest performance in terms of heat conduction and distribution
Pros and Cons of the All-Clad Copper Core

Pros (of Copper Core)

Induction compatible
Easy cleanup
Durable
Best heat conduction and distribution
Heats evenly

Cons

Most expensive of the lot
Heavy and thus, slightly difficult to lift
Pros and Cons of the All-Clad Stainless Tri-Ply

Pros (of Tri-Ply)

Cheapest of the three
Induction compatible
Easy cleanup
Lightest of the three and thus, easier to lift
Good heat distribution and conduction
Durable

Cons

No helper handle
More prone to warping due to lesser weight (although still very resilient)

(Another review mentioned non rolled sides which makes pouring less easy)

Is the 21 piece set the d3 line? I don't see this option listed on the all clad site, is this a good deal? Has anyone bought from here before, what are your experiences with factory seconds?

Can anyone comment on the Lagostina 11-In. x 16-In. Stainless Steel Roaster ?

I know roasters usually go on sale around xmas and I was dumb lot to get one then. I read to avoid the nonstick ones cause they chip and I'm assuming this isn't that since it's all clad. The metal and number of plys also matter right?

The roaster is not all clad brand.

I just roast chicken in my Le Creuset dutch oven (I have 5 and 7 Qt ones). I have a roasting pan, some non-stick one, which I'll use for something big like a turkey, but consider enameled iron, too.

That said, for the price, this one is hard to beat. While it's not AC, the material is not going to make too much of a difference.

Have both d5 10 piece and cuisinart 12 piece set....I will buy cuisinart in future....

Indian cooking style - no difference between them and hard to clean d5....

Price difference 150 vs 480...no more all clad for me....
