I've never shopped in Hannaford before so forgive the stupid question, but you rolled the catalina right? So you bought your first set of $15 items, got the $5 catalina and then used that $5 catalina to pay for your second set of $15 items. Some stores are weird, so I figured I'd ask before I went and did it in the store.

Is this working on shelf pricing? Anyone use coupons? MorningStar products should be a double dip.

FYI; Hannaford has been giving $/$$ cats out lately. The $4 off $60 will ring on a $50 order. YMMV on a cashier accepting it though; if you think you're on the borderline, you might want to ring your order at the SCO if your store has one. Cats tend to be based on how much you purchase and have been printing for most orders. There's a $5 off $80 and $6 off $90 that I get on bigger orders as well.
Not sure why one would attempt to use a $/$ on an order less than what the q requires, but ok.
Been a while since I have been here, I see not much is going on
My store still has the lower prices, and I am so very grateful. Definitely has me going just there more often. The lower deli and lower produce makes a huge different in my weekly spending.
Halloween candy is 50% off, obviously, but their regular price is pretty low to begin with, $2.69 for mars brand I think, snickers, milky way, 3musketeers, twix. Not bad with the 50% off and $2/3 IP from coupons.com that didn't expire 10/31 (it also reset). (Shaw's regular price was $3.99, I did pick up a few M&M snack size bags there though, my kids love M&M's and I only stock up when they are on sale ) Also got some silly string for $.99 after 50% off, for my kids to play with outside.
Probably store specific but the Standish store had Jazz apples for $.39/lb yesterday. Also I think they programmed the Crunch bars Halloween candy wrong, it rang up regular price of $1.34 and took off $.67. Found a $1/1lb wunderbar bologna coupon at the deli, it was $2.29/lb but not on sale anymore I don't think, coupon is good until 12/2014.
Saw Lindt chocolate balls bags 2/$6, not sure if that was only last week too, but there is a $2/1 IP out.
Found a $4 Bud MIR for fresh or frozen pizza, only good until 11/3, so I bought a frozen Freshetta pizza for $4.99 and we had a cheap dinner.
Found a $5 Guinness MIR for Pumpkins good until 12/31. Min purchase of $5.01. Bought our pumpkins at a farm this year, but maybe I'll buy another one before December.
Also found a MIR on a Vodka called UV, it's for $10 off, and the Vodka is only $11.99, so of course I grabbed that. Salty Watermelon is pretty yummy for a Vodka.
Also got chicken, lunchmeat, Home 360 detergent for $1.99 with the $2 coupon (expires soon!), Pop secret popcorn was $2.69, had a craving for kettle corn so used a $1/1 IP. Green grapes, apples - Cortland and jazz, two deliciously huge juicy tomatoes $1.49/lb, sweet potatoes, bananas $.49/lb, split top wheat bread is still $1.48, $6.99 Green mountain Kcups, used the $1/1 IP ($7.99 at Shaws).
Spent $70, but I walked out happy with my purchases
Hope everyone is doing well!
ISO: Dog food & treat coupons, string cheese, produce. NAPR WT's & MIR's for Anything!
H: Random stuff
I never shop Hannaford, but just checked the Ling Ling price and its $2.79.
How do they handle the overage - do I need to buy other items to cover? Any department or just frozen?
Overage is YMMV but I would buy something from the same dept so that the cashier can manually key in the coupon as it needs to go under a certain dept.
Some things have been increasing in price here; albeit I think it's the seasonal produce price increases coming through now. Fish in particular has been very expensive for a few weeks now such that I have been buying the Shaw's sales or just buying the frozen stuff from TJs.
Check out the free Hannaford calendars - there are a lot of coupons on the back
"Over $17 in valuable coupon savings." as stated on the cover.
