I bought from this seller on eBay for the same price. Good deal and it looked like brand new but mine was not working properly, requested a replacement and it is again having some weird issues so I'm returning it. Their customer service is very good though.

I t will get popular no worries. My 2 concerns are:
  • 90 day refurb warranty.
  • Refurbisher not Sony (as far as I can tell).
Bought from secondipity through eBay when these were recently on sale for the same price there. Used PayPal credit for another $20 off to get them for $160. Was able to tack on a 1 year square trade warranty for ~$30, but so far they have been indistinguishable from new and they are just mind blowingly good headphones. NC and audio quality (with a tiny bit of EQ tweaking) are bar none. Well worth it IMO.

IIRC secondipity through eBay also had a no questions asked fully subsidized shipping return policy, which was hailed by many as very easy to use if needed (I did not need to).

I prefer new cause I'm kind of a germaphobe, knowing they've been on other folks heads which could've been sweaty, stank, dirty etc...yuck. brand new for me all the way lol

Ditto. Ordered the other week and was basically brand spanking new minus box. I guess if you really want new you can buy new at retail , order these and just return these to the retail store. But that's too much work for me.
Yeah, that's called stealing.

It could just be me. But I find it odd that these same previous comments were on the CH700N that was listed yesterday.
That being said, these were on sale for $199 new on Black Friday. Bought them on amazon
I checked the deals for this one and the $199 deal seems to be for XM2 not XM3, are you sure about it?

Not to put you on the spot and expect you to know the answer to this, but what do you think the price for a refurb would be than by then?
For reference, I purchased a pair of XM2 last November from this same refurbisher via Amazon for $148. Can't remember if they were listed as like new or very good, but they arrived like new other than retail packaging. Hope this helps.

Warning:
These "refurbished" headphones tend to die after a few hours to days. The most common issue is one of the earpieces starts to make an awful "gust-like" sound when NC is turned on. I was a victim to this issue when I bought one off of Amazon Warehouse.

I would wait until a brand new one flash sales personally.

Same exact experience for me. They are terrific headphones.

Yes, the virus will crawl all the way inside, infect the eardrum, and subsequently the brain. The entire nervous system will fall under its control, making you into a corona puppet.

I bought these on Ebay last week for a similar price. They sound great. One problem: their IPhone app is incompatible with the current version of the iOS. It crashes when you try opening it. I called Sony and they confirmed the problem. The app also has terrible reviews in the App Store. Some of the functions like their equalizer or Alexa are only accessible with the app. The sound is very bass-heavy and I downloaded a different app for a more balanced sound {BassBoost}. They now sound fine.

Buy! Mines came looking brand new, and I love them. I also have several other headphones and iem, but I use these the most.

These headphones can hold firmly to the body even during nude dancing sessions in class.

Recently had a defective product from Newegg and they would not support or refund my purchase. I strongly advise avoiding Newegg at all cost.
