That would be a custom model. I don't see there being any deals for it now or in the near future.

Is it worth buying from Costco ($2299) for the extra year of warranty (or 2 years with Costco Citi Card) plus the discounted SquareTrade ($99 vs $549) and discounted AppleCare ($300 vs $379)?

AppleCare is a must

Im not sure if you can buy it from Costco if the Macbook wasnt bought from Costco but i dont see why you couldnt, you could call Apple and ask them

Or if you want to go directly from Apple buy it via the education store for $340

But no it's not worth paying $300 more from Costco

Bought mine from Adorama with promo code "appinsider" a couple months ago. I9 2.3ghz, 1tb, 32gn ram w/ the 8gig video card. $3300. Got it for $3049. Not sure If the code still works.

you paid $750 more than the going price for a i9, 1tb 16gb ram. That's not slick.
if that deal had the 32gb it would have been great, but I see no reason in getting an i9 over the i7 especially with 16gig. apple should have made the base i9 32gb.

Hard to say but the 90 day return period vs. 14 days with this lets you have breathing room with the upcoming new MacBooks (though the 16inch update isn't expected till the end of the year if you're set on the 16inch). Tbh skip the square trade and just add a rider/floater to your home/renters insurance. I pay $30/year for my MBP valued at $2100 in 2015 and I've had them pay out $700 for a screen replacement when i accidentally broke the screen a few years ago and it finally died on me last week and the quote was $909 to fix it all and my claims adjuster actually just cut me a check for the Best Buy site price of a brand new MBP (~$1400). No deductible.

I got the 13 inch $1050 that was on sale but I can't stand the keyboard and am a power user so may give this 16inch a shot.

EDIT: Also I'm seeing conflicting return policies. 30 days except 14 days on electronics (must be unopened) on Google Shopping. On hhgreg's site I just see 30 days on everything and to repack everything but no mention of a restocking fee on opened items, and on their Newegg site it says both 15 and 20% restocking fees....

You cab get that deal. Just go to Apple education website and choose to ship to your house. No promotion code needed.

You're not going to see the i9 1TB 32GB for $2300...keep dreaming. The deal for the i9 1TB 16gb for $2300 is as good as you're going to see.

I ordered this a week ago — same deal — HHGregg through Google Shopping. Site says it's supposed to arrive today, but it's almost 10pm but the order status hasn't changed from "processing". Getting kind of annoyed and discouraged.
