Get $20 off with the promo code CNETONEP. Saw this on cnet. I wanted to get the T-Mobile one but didn't want to deal with unlocking or messing with ROMs. This is $20 cheaper than the previous front page deal and it'll have all of the benefits of not being tied down to T-Mobile (works with At&t and Verizon also). Dailysteals has the OnePlus 6T brand new for 349. Get $20 off with the promo code CNETONEP. https://www.dailysteals.com/produ...orks-128gb

Just to update. Rep confirmed that this is NOT dual sim and is actually Tmobile version.

From DailyStealsOfficial: these phones have been white listed already, so all you need to do to unlock them is open the unlock app and select "Permanent Unlock". There is not a waiting period since they've already been white listed. These devices are brand new/sealed units.

The 6T was launched in November of 2018. Oneplus has committed to 2 years of Android upgrades and 3 years of security updates. The 6T was just recently updated to Android 10 and will likely qualify for Android 11 later this year and that should be the last update that it will receive. The upcoming Oneplus 8 was announced to be launched next month and is expected to have integrated into it 5G. Although $330 is a great price for the 6T with great specs, the phone is pretty much outdated and the upgrades are expiring.

However, the devices are "pro development" and are more than capable of sustaining usage from various custom ROM's.
The 6T is a beast of a device. If someone wants a 6T for the price of a shitty LG Stylo, even if it only received updates for the next year, they're still ahead of the game. And it buys them a year to get the finances up for a new device.

Glass half full, guys & gals.
Glass half full.

This is a ridiculous statement. The hardware for this phone is good for the next couple of years at least and security updates will still continue after version updates stop. The only truly bad thing about this phone is the in-display fingerprint sensor.

Far better except the camera; Pixel will always reign supreme in that realm.

What's the best sideload camera APK for this phone? I saw a website with a database of different APKs, but the ones I've tried often crash the app if I choose certain settings.

I'm holding out for the 4a solely for the camera.

People go broke obsessing about having the latest and greatest. I bet most people who tried using a 6T for a few years wouldn't notice anything outdated in terms of operation and features other than 5g.
Hell, my Pixel 2XL still doesn't feel outdated.

I agree with everything you said except the in display fingerprint scanner (and I may be the only one out there to defend this spec lol). It was an early attempt at the tech, sure, but I've honestly found that OnePlus was completely honest when they said that the longer you use it, the better it gets. It may not be as quick as the latest gen in-display scanners but I wouldn't turn my nose up to it at all after using it for the last year. I factory reset my phone at one point a few months ago and noticed a big slowdown in the scanner performance. A couple weeks later and it was just as snappy as before the reset. I really think the face unlock is just so fast and the initial use of the fingerprint scanner was iffy enough that a lot of people just opted not to use the scanner at all and left their opinions intact that it was bad. Maybe I'm wrong and I am just a lucky user that has had a better-than-average experience but I definitely haven't been turned off to using it like some users have been.
Decent deal on what has been an excellent device.

Those phones can't touch a Pixel camera. Night and day difference.
