Cheap, simple, elegant. What's not to like? Might just get one for myself

Even from the video posted on amazon, it looks like the piece lacks precision - when the seconds hand points to 12 o'clock, the minute hand does NOT point to the minute mark precisely. Piece of chinese crap not worth the Citizens brand label. Probably fake!

Not sure it's fake but it is pretty basic. No eco-drive. But a nice simple no frills watch.

You're going to have a hard time doing better for $50. Good deal OP.

But honestly, you want to save for an Ecodrive. I have a normal battery powered Citizen and it eats batteries. It looks cool (rectangular case) but once you go Ecodrive, it's hard to go back.

Wrong. I do watch repair. The minute hand can be adjusted independently of the sweep hand. Wait for sweep hand to get to 12. Pull crown out to setting position. Then adjust minute hand exactly to minute desired. The minute hand is not "locked" to any minute or partial minute position relative the sweep hand.

Sorry, I meant the seconds hand never points to any marker. It's like the face is off by a few degrees...

Ahh yes. This can happen as the sweep hand is on a round post. But, you could get a watchmakers to easily align that for you. I do it all the time.
