Beware, they're pulling their games from Geforce Now, so you can't play it online! don't support this practice.

Yeah unfortunately GeForce doesn't have the pull that steam does, so publishers can pull stuff whenever they well please without serious repercussions. Definitely wouldn't plan on anything being permanently available on the GeForce service.

This shouldn't impact the Steam version/key though right? I have this on Steam from the prior sale (ugh, paid $10~ for it)

If you use your own gaming PC you're good. This only effects the people that use the game streaming service through GeForce. So these people can play from a potato and get good graphics, but once a game gets pulled from the service, they have to either buy their own gaming PC or play at whatever graphics their device can handle.

Never really got into a Fallout game before. Is it really worth the time sync? I have big backlog of games as it is. Many times I nearly pulled the trigger on getting the Witcher 3 but didn't.

So I bought the base edition for this upon release! Great game. But my question is, is the DLC worth $9? And it won't affect my save files from the original playthrough right?

I played Fallout 3, New Vegas, and 4, multiple times each (hundreds of hours per game), and can't recommend them enough. 3 and New Vegas have better plots, but 4 has better game mechanics. I have a big backlog as well (including Witcher 3, I'm sure I'll get to it someday), but I guess I'm getting old that I feel too lazy learn a new game, so I keep going back to Fallout/Skyrim.

depends how you look at it. if you enjoyed FO4 and want a little more content at the price of a couple of sandwiches, then yeah. but if you didn't care too much for FO4, then you probably could buy a different, entire game with the $9 from steam.

Absolutely. Without a doubt.

Fallout 1,2 and tactics are... older (and this is coming from an old dude who played them new). But worth it just to understand the lore. Or you can just watch YouTube timelines too.

3, NV, and 4 are outstanding (NV especially) and are all worthy of the fallout name.

I recently got Skyrim VR for ~$13 maybe I hold off on Fallout for now and wait for the VR to be on sale. Both games have killer mod support. Can't deny that this game of year edition isn't a great value but I doubt I'll ever find time to enjoy the dlc. I am an older gamer too.
