FreedomPop 5GB+Unlimited Talk/Text $150/yr $13

It's been cheaper, but right now it's a good spot between Mint's $15 3GB and $20 8 GB plan and cheaper than either at $13/month for 5GB (at the 12 month bulk price of $149.99).

Personally I'll be going with Visible's $25 unlimited everything party pay plan (since I'm dropping my ISP and need the unlimited hotspot). Venn also has a good deal right now at $20 unlimited everything+50GB hotspot.

I would have taken this FreedomPop deal though if I was still paying my ISP because I use about 5GB/month on my phone and it seems to be the cheapest for that amount.
Not the best deal around, but I'm sure someone else's free year of Sprint is ending and is in the same boat.

People who drop their ISP and use mobile hotspot are the worst. You ruin unlimited for everyone.

I'm currently on the free Mint Mobile 3 month plan from the Superbowl, but before that I used Freedompop. It works great for me! I got in on this price back in December. There's no time frame on activation, so I'm just waiting until my Mint plan runs out and then my previous Freedompop plan. Then I'll activate the 5gb sim in July.

I pair mine with GV, so I always keep the same number.

I had the Free FP Global Plan in 2017 for a trip to Europe and it worked surprisingly ok to call back to the USA. They do not offer this any longer. I recall that they connect by Wi-Fi calling only, I think. Anyway only posted this so you folks will look up details about the service.

After 5gb LTE, are you out of data or just get downgraded to 2g/3g?

Hi there! After the 5GB of LTE data is used, you have the option to add top up credit manually on your account by adding a valid billing method to your account. This will allow you to continue with your service and avoid loss of service until your next renewal cycle. For more information regarding account credit, please refer to the following support article https://support.freedompop.com/hc...edit-works

I have that plan for years and I've never had "phantom data". Are you sure it's not your phone using data for something ?

yeah, I get pretty much monthly $0.01 charges, no matter how much I use the phone. If anything, I sometimes wish they thought I used more data than I did to at least have a chance at avoiding those.

I never get the 1 cent charges. What I do is make at least 5 calls of longer than 1 minute and use around 50mb data, a month. I don't know if that would solve your issue but it works for me.

I bought the FP 1GB yearly plan a year back for $14 on a Target clearance. Bought it with no hopes of liking it, just to try it. I liked it and when the 5GB deal popped for $114, I bought that. Their app integration with the android dialer is kind of Mickey Mouse but it works. I use the app on other devices without the FP sim too. Wish they would fix the app so it won't prompt for relogin on reboot without the sim.

I use GV mostly but I really like the number I got this time around, its a keeper.
