CAS pretty much has a computer operating system (computer algebra system) in there that can solve for the variable in calculus, algebra, etc. Therefore, it's super useful in college level calculus, differential equations, and beyond. I'd recommend it to engineering, mathematicians, and even people who want a calculator that does it all. For example, when I took calc 3 in college, my CAS calculator could solve for x in a multiple integral. So a problem that would take you 30 minutes by hand could be done in 10 seconds with the CAS function.
Solve for x in a multiple integral? Do you mean an integral equation? I doubt TI's AMS handles those.

Do the two TI-Inspire apps appear under "Purchased" in your account? Very strange. They don't show up as purchased (the icloud icon) in the App Store even after I've already got them and installed them on my iPad.

Does it mean if I remove them, I'll have to pay in order to download them again after the free period?

Wow, I didn't know that. Those are very hard to solve analytically. Even Mathematica has trouble with integral equations. Can you give an example? Can it solve nonlinear integral equations?
