If you don't have an iPad you can still get it using an older version of iTunes via your computer. In case you might get an iPad in the future and want to have it to install later.

Incredible gesture by them.

The app itself does not seem to have the same TI-Inspire calculator layout so be prepared to spend some time learning where all the functions are. The menu layout is the same. I have yet to test other functions but 3d graphing on an ipad processor is much quicker than the inspire. The problem is that zooming out beyond your original scale is impossible. You need to change your Range first. (which is why it's so snappy).

If you guys find any bugs or differences, let me know

Was just gonna ask that. The new version removed that ability.

CAS pretty much has a computer operating system (computer algebra system) in there that can solve for the variable in calculus, algebra, etc. Therefore, it's super useful in college level calculus, differential equations, and beyond. I'd recommend it to engineering, mathematicians, and even people who want a calculator that does it all. For example, when I took calc 3 in college, my CAS calculator could solve for x in a multiple integral. So a problem that would take you 30 minutes by hand could be done in 10 seconds with the CAS function.

Thank you, just downloaded. After the free period ends, will these stop working or require in-app purchase? Or does downloading now while they are free lock them in?

Only on IPad. Just click the link and it will redirect you to the App Store.

I think I found my own answer:

You can cancel the installation partway (download >0%) to have the app added to your library for later installation without having to install it now.

I think it's usable forever if you "buy" it now for free. They're giving it away for a promotional period.
