This is 10% off their normal price. While I know this isn't the Dell Ultrasharp deal from last month it still looks pretty good.

I actually ordered this yesterday. I do web development work, and do online guitar lessons (one screen for video/music, one for tabs), so gaming isn't a huge concern for me. I'm sure it'll be perfect for my use case!

I bought this Black Friday, it's been an excellent monitor so far.

I picked this up around Black Friday for $320. The one I have received has been a great monitor so far. I had 2 x 27" IPS 1080p monitors before this and had contemplated going for the 49" ultra-wide but after using it for a few months I think that this 35" may be the the perfect size monitor. Some people complain about going from IPS to VA but to my eyes it was fine. In fact I have a 27" IPS hanging directly over this and I only notice the difference when looking at the same content on both screens, which I usually don't do. I am a developer and and the 1440p resolution has been a big improvement over 1080p. This monitor is smaller than my old setup as I believe this is the equivalent of 2 x 24" monitors but the ability to have 3 or 4 tabs open simultaneously is much more usable on this due to the resolution than the 2 x 27" setup. Any task that requires multiple tabs side by side gets so much easier using this monitor. A word of warning if you screen share with others for work your screen may appear tiny to them if they can't enable scaling in the sharing app.

As for gaming, the Monoprice website states this can be overclocked to 120hz. Many people (myself included) can't seem to get 120hz to work but 119hz will. I was also able to enable g-sync without any issues so far. I had to turn on free-sync in the monitor OSD to enable it and then go into the Nvdia control panel to configure it and then it worked. This thing required me to upgrade my PC in order to game with it. I had a 1060 but that wasn't cutting it. I upgraded to a 2080 Super and it can handle most games on Ultra/High while hitting the fps required to match that refresh rate. Most games play as you would expect but the extended side real estate can be weird in some games, but games like Forza Horizon are amazing in ultra-wide and is one of the reasons I bought this monitor.

If you are going to mount it beware that this this is pretty heavy(about 15 lbs). I am using this mount here [amazon.com]. Although this stand said it could hold the weight it required some modification to prevent the tilt mechanism from tilting down. Basically you had to remove the tilt mount, compress the bracket add some washers and reassemble and now it floats perfectly. As you can see I have a monitor mounted above this one (it's a 27").

Do tell how it works for you. Somehow I always thought IPS is the best if you are not into gaming. But if this is a good monitor, might pull the trigger.

Id like to get feedback...

This monitor or the Acer from Costco...

Acer 34" Class QHD IPS FreeSync Monitor https://www.costco.com/acer-34%22...12381.html

Costco one is IPS but lower refresh rates.

I don't do heavy gaming. Just need a bigger monitor for work, light gaming, and general web surfing.

Thoughts?

Food for thought. I just returned a 38" LG with a res 3840x1600. At native res when connected to my Mac, the text looked awful. As a designer this drove me crazy. I returned it in less than 24hours. If that's not something that would bother you and you're coming from 1080p, then I'm sure you'll be fine. I went and ordered a 32" 4K—- hoping this will solve my issue.

I checked that out when I was making my mind, but the reviews alone were enough to make me pass.

Yeah. I saw the reviews weren't that great.

Used this monitor for a few months so far. I paid closer to $300. The first one had an annoying stuck pixel, and it took some effort to get it swapped out since I bought it on Rakuten. The replacement is fine. I'd recommend it even at $350, and especially if you are going to be working from home. I use the 38" HP at work and this is close enough for my purposes.
