This seems like a good deal from the specs I'm reading. Any reason for the thumbs down; anything that would make this "not" a good deal?

It's a 60Hz screen. It's misleading to call it a gaming monitor with that refresh rate. If you're ok with that, I don't see anything wrong with it.

Also, it's a TN panel, known for terrible viewing angles. I would give this a hard pass.

I never understood this silly argument. As if you are going to be sitting anywhere other than in front of your gaming monitor?

If running dual monitors people tend to place them at angles

At first i thought the same as you until i bought dual monitors. Yes it does matter even if you're in front of the monitor but if your second monitor is slightly angled, you'll notice it. I also have a gaming chair that reclines very far back and when that happens, the colors turn to crap while watching movies. I see why people would complain. I get it, you're trying to look for a good deal but you always see someone ranting on how crap TN is but i take every response seriously lol

I know on some tvs with bad viewing angles you can still tell it even looking straight on. if so, that's the last thing I want. I saw this monitor was on sale and if only it had been IPS I'd probably want it, although even then..... Newegg doesn't allow returns of monitors so I'd hate to risk it without seeing in person.

I'm right there with you on that argument. It's completely stupid to be concerned about the viewing angle. Besides....most monitors come with rotate and tilt adjustment anyway so it shouldn't be an issue.

Wow, first world problems man. Are you're telling me your monitor doesn't have a tilt angle adjustment? Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)
"4K gaming monitors" are here to solve first world problems and doing a poor job… I'll check back when there's bezeless 4K 240hz 1ms ips monitors under 2lbs, and foldable, or, rollable

The best Gaming monitor you can get for PS4 pro and Xbox One X at this price. Would not recommend for pc gaming unless you play 4k at 60hz. The Xbox one x and PS4 pro have 4K upscale which most pc do not have so the console looks and play better on this monitor compared to like a 50in 4k tv or bigger. Also the Xbox one and PS4 pro can't go over 60hz so this monitor is perfect for them. Don't get if ur a pc gamer would recommend a 1440p 144hz monitor instead because pc can go over 240hz and 1440p is right in the middle between 1080p and 4k.

Yeah A TN panel with low refresh rate is not a good deal. If you are compromising on display at least get the benefit it provides of high refresh rate
