I wouldn't recommend this for the sheer fact of absolute crap software from arcronis. Next time I will buy the Samsung drive with working cloning software and avoid the frustration.

I don't usually crap on products I bought, but this one I'm PISSED. The software is so dang bad. WD does not hold themselves accountable for it either...

You might also consider the new SN550. It is a bit cheaper and beats out this drive in some benches. It has lesser hardware specs, but new memory and plenty of optimizations.

For a power user this one will probably be better, but for mainstream, or storage the SN550 deserves a look.
I haven't looked fully into it. Bht I'm assuming better read and write speeds on the SN750.

If we're honest, most people won't notice NVMe versus SATA SSD's.
Yup. People who casually use computers aren't going a single difference. They pretend like they're going to notice.

What a useless comment. If you haven't looked into it, then you don't know anything. The guy you replied to was right btw, the SN550 does outperform this drive at task not involving large data loads.

If you are a consumer the SN550 is a slicker deal as it can be had at $93 for 1TB with a student discount direct from WD. If you are an actual professional who deals with large video file sizes, then the SN750 will be your better choice.

Until you want to back up 100+GB of family photos and videos to distribute to family members. Or your mp3 collection. Or a few hi-def movies. Then you'll definitely notice.

Is there a new model coming out? Or WD just trying to stay afloat during this downturn in the economy? There seems to be a lot of sales recently on this drive.

Why are these SSDs out of stock EVERYWHERE? Only the 250gb are in stock. I have a brand new desktop I want to setup now, not in 3-4 weeks. I guess I'll just use my old SATA SSD drive. Screw it. Probably won't make a difference most of the time.
Must be dem coronas
