I've been on T-Mobile Prepaid for about 4 years and I've been getting T-Mo Tuesday offers since the day I signed up.
I stand corrected. Sorry. I thought when T-Mobile Tuesday's started they were only for postpaid. Thanks for setting me straight.

It offers unlimited smartphone data on our network as well as benefits that aren't available on T-Mobile prepaid plans, including T-Mobile Tuesdays
This is weird because prepaid has T-Mobile Tuesdays. Maybe they wanted to mean that this new Connect plan specifically doesn't have access to Tuesdays benefits.

EDIT: now it is official:

Do T-Mobile Connect customers get T-Mobile Tuesdays?
No, T-Mobile Tuesdays is not available for T-Mobile Connect prepaid rate plans.

I'm still on the $30 prepaid 5gb plan. I am tempted by this but there are some downsides to this new plan. No T-mobile Tuesday benefits and no unlimited music streaming...
Here's a link to their FAQ. https://prepaid.t-mobile.com/plan...onnect-faq

Guess I'm sticking with the $30 plan then.

Talked to TM-Rep
They require a new SIM regardless of being a past customer.
New SIM Cost is $30 in-store or $25 if you try and ship it by calling Customer Service
So basically $40-$45 for the first month

My mother was approved for the Lifeline program and I hoped to apply that to this new plan. Of course TMobile only allows the Lifeline discount to apply to post paid plans which all cost way more than this one making the discount not even worth it. Basically on paper TMobile can say the participate in Lifeline but i reality they make it difficult to use with them.

Here is the FAQ from T-mobile
Do I have to pay for a SIM Starter Kit?
Yes. A one-time $10 SIM Starter Kit is required for new activations on T-Mobile Connect.

Guess T-Mobile rep didnt get this memo.
They tried to "waive" these fees but apparently being a prepaid customer for 13 years does not qualify you.

I'm looking to switch phone plans. This prepaid TMobile looks pretty good. Has anybody had first hand experience with T-Mobile prepaid vs Mint mobile? In terms of reliability and connectivity. Mint can be had for lower price per month with more data, so I am curious. Thanks

If I already have a brand-new T-mobile sim kit, would I have to pay for the Sim starter kit to get this plan?

No, you can use your current unused SIM, or you can order or buy instore unactivated sims and do the process online.

Im in Nevada and no taxes was charged, for the plan. Taxes only for the sim cards.

Also, its better to activate instore or on the phone, the web method will fail and lock up/reserve the sim cards for 2 hours each time you try.
