PSA: Amazon deliveries [vox.com] can be delayed up to month even for Prime deliveries. Most Non-essential will ship on April 21 2020

Has anyone heard if they're planning to compensate us in any way for the lack of the promised 2-day shipping? This is clearly not what we paid for...

You're right, its not what we paid for, but it is a rather abnormal circumstance that is in no way the fault of Amazon and is completely outside of their control.

I can't blame them anymore than I can blame businesses for having to let people go because the government has forcefully shut them down. Sadness of the pandemic aside, its oddly refreshing to see an economic downturn that isn't the fault of our businesses.

True. I'm not debating right or wrong or fault. I'm just wondering if the hit should come from Jeff Bezos' pocket or ours. The former is quite a bit deeper, I can assure you.

Amazon Prime deliveries are delayed for as much as a month as the company shifts to focus on coronavirus [vox.com].

I first noticed this yesterday when trying to buy something i needed delivered this week.

My apologies if this has already been posted.

i'm not prime and getting delayed shipping. no word if/when. i ordered an essential item, not food or ppe but something i need all day every day. it would be nice of amazon to at least inform.
