The LG Gram is over half a pound lighter and has longer battery life.

If portability is your biggest need, then yes. That half a pound makes a huge difference if you take your laptop everywhere. The battery life is also supposed to be crazy good.

RAM and SSD can be easily upgraded.

1080p screen on a 14" laptop is good enough for most people, and it will make the battery last a lot longer than a 4k screen.

The gram isn't an ultimate media creation device, but I wouldn't buy a 14" laptop for that anyways. What the gram does best is on the go productivity.

$250 more gets you 16 gb/256GB SSD/quad core i7 from Apple - New Macbook Air 2020

Much better build quality, higher resolution screen, double the ram
What? This is 17 Inch Windows light as a feather Windows machine. How in the world do you compare it to a 13.3 Macbook air? This for somebody who can take advantage of the screen real estate. $250.00 =25% more. These machines are not comparable in any way. Compare macs to macs.

I have no idea where you get that price either. Off the back of the truck. The I7/256 and 16Gb is not 1250.00 its more like 1500.00+

First you are in a thread for a 14" LG Gram not a 17" LG Gram

Second, I bought the 17" LG Gram for $1200 and returned it the next day, it heated up and spun its fans louder than a jet engine while playing youtube videos and only Chrome web browser open

Third, go to the Apple Education store, price out a Macbook Air 2020 with i7 quad core / 16GB it costs $1250

The AIr would have double (and much faster) RAM, a much higher resolution screen, much better upwards facing speakers unlike the Gram line which fires from the underside of the laptop, and far superior build quality and trackpad.

If you must have Windows spending $1000 for a laptop without 16GB is beyond dumb esp when LG voids the warranty if you open the case to install more RAM, google it.

If you want a quality laptop for under $1300 the Macbook Air with the aforementioned specs is your best bet until Apple puts out the refreshed 13/14" Macbook Pro

The only reason i can see someone going for an LG Gram is if they want a 17" that is super light the rest of the lineup is not good at all. Hell you could have gotten a Dell XPS 13" 2020 with i7/16GB for $1150/1250 just this past weekend that's a far better deal then this

This is $100 off and far from a Slickdeal, you could argue the LG Gram for $200 more with a higher resolution screen, double the RAM, and a much larger screen is a Slickdeal if you can put up with the horrible speakers and thermals but this deal is retail

You are in the wrong thread. This is for Windows machines whether they are worth it or not you shouldn't b**ch about the macbooks here. If anyone wants a MacBook they will buy it.
