It is a 55ah Lifepo4 from Amped Outdoors. It is fairly price compared to your basic deep cycle from wallyworld, but the weight difference is significant. It has a much longer battery life (can be recharged many more times than a DC) and it actually last longer than the size 27 DC I was using before

There is a $20 rebate. https://www.minnkotamotors.com/pr...ount-promo

I ordered mine yesterday and is shipped by FedEx to arrive tomorrow.

I use mine (25yr old 42lb thrust Minn Kota) in SF Bay, Napa River, Sac Delta and just rinse with water. The transom bolts are oxidized though.

Hopefully this 55lb thrust will help against currents. I have to do quite a bit of rowing with the motor on high (42lb thrust) in currents.

I noticed the Minn Kota Endura Max also has a slight discount.

These seem to be on clearance. Maybe Minn Kota is coming out with newer models soon.

I got the 42 inch version from Walmart a couple years ago when they were giving pickup discounts for $185. The motor case leaked o mine but was able to fix it. Great price if they had a 42 inch I'd buy again for $185 and bow mount one on my job boat.

I have one of these trolling motors on my kayak with a 50 amp hour lithium battery. With my kayak very loaded up, and with my dog, we cruise at about 4 mph
