Been waiting for it to go on sale again for steam! Only deals around have been for GOG.

I snagged the GOTY edition for a few bucks more at $14.99 which adds two large expansions with 30-50 hours of more gameplay.

I also grabbed Witcher: Enhanced Edition on sale for $1.49 and The Witcher 2 for $2.99

Toss a coin to your Witcher (and then wash your hands)

Probably best representation of the RPG genre, one of the best games ever. Value for a buck, I think certain games destroy it. League of Legends, CS Go, Starcraft, Factorio, games not based on a story. Diablo with it's grinding. But certainly for a story driven RPG, Witcher is 2nd to none.

I'm currently playing this for the first time, it is really good. It's also very long if you try to do everything! I got to Skellige and had to take a break to play some other stuff.
I have the goty version from gog for $15, but I haven't gotten to any of the expansions to see if it's worth it.
I do recommend playing witcher 2 first, but you don't have to; I just thought it was fun. The first game hasn't aged well, maybe watch a video or two instead to get some background.

Just a heads up. If you go to the GOG free games to "stay at home" deal they list the GWENT: The Witcher Card game for PC. You can search the game out directly and skip the other freebees if need be. The point is that when you buy the free card game they offer you a bonus Keg card if you subscribe to the mailing list. Plus you get The Witcher Enhanced Edition for Free! What a nice surprise. Now I can pick up the 2nd and 3rd game together for $11.98!

Or pay $14.48 if going game of the year for W3 with W2 Enhanced yada.

Or don't pay anything for now. Enjoy the free Witcher games. Still 5days left to decide about the others.

Note the GWENT card game is also free for iOS and Android.
