Death of Superman was a pretty good watch. Assault on Arkham was decent and Hell to Pay was watchable but not great. Batman & Harley Quinn and Gotham by Gaslight were just awful. Batman & Harley Quinn was the movie that made me stop blind buying DC animated films and Gotham by Gaslight wasn't even with my Redbox rental

Batman ninja is a great visual spectacle, but not a great batman story.

I've never read the gaslight gn but I absolutely loved the film. The action in death of Superman is top notch imo

I'd liked all of these movies. $5 is an easy recommend. Only dc animated I did not every like was batman ninja, but I'm not an anime guy.
Couple of comments
Warning- Death of Superman is incomplete with out return of the supermen.
Batman and Harlee is a not a serious Batman but silly Harlee story with some funny one liners. Some may what to pass on this.
I liked Gotham by gaslight, but similar to Batman hush I didn't like the ending changes.

Hell to Pay was a pleasant surprise for me going into it with no expectations.

Assault on Arkham was honestly disappointing, I thought Hell to Pay was a far better suicide squad movie.

I would put these at PG-13.

Might recommend Batman Brave and The Bold or the Justice League / Justice League (Unlimited) series for 8. The Justice League was hands down the Best Stuff DC ever did.

They are definitely in the PG-13 Range, I wouldn't recommend the Suicide Squad films for an 8 year old at all. I believe both are rated R

Would you be able to see all these for free on the new DC subscription service, DC U? Debating if i should sign up for a month or two of that instead.
