When things are going towards 5G soon, why would anyone buy a 3G phone?
I think there's some details lost with this. Not having VoLTE didn't mean the entire phone is 3G-only; data is still 4G/LTE. Though, it is missing some better LTE bands.

Fair enough. I'll edit my post on updates, but my other points are still valid. This is too steep for what you get.

Also, I like Moto and my v35 is good, but it's not like Moto or LG set a high bar with updates.
Yeah, I mean I am not going to buy this as I am okay with my unlocked G8X that I got for $230 open box on ebay, but I at least have to give Asus credit for their update game the past couple years

Yeah for sure. I hear you there. Credit to them.

Personally, I think I value OLED possibly more than I should. Interested in the 6 since I don't use front facing camera that much (not worried about the camera rotation wearing our), but the LCD screen turned me off of it. Interested in one plus as well, but they are a bit more than I want to pay. I'll mildly disagree with the v35 folks' love, in that I like my Pixel 3a XL over my V35.

Very solid phone. I used it for 5 months before getting zenfone 6. My wife uses it now. Very fast, basically stock Android 10 since late 2019. A great deal at that price especially if you have payboo. It will probably be this price till they are gone.

The way I see it, the 5G is still several years away from the mainstream usage. This year, it's the flagship ($1,000) phones got 5G. Next year, hopefully the mid-range phones will have the 5G. The year after the next year, that's when the 5G becomes prevalent.

Is this bootloader unlockable? Can both sims run 4G LTE concurrently?

Does the dual SIM work for a T-Mobile/Verizon combo. I currently haul 2 phones as I has 2 different networks. Wondering if this can consolidate my 2 sims

Bootloader Unlock=YES
Monthly Updates=YES
Android 10=YES
Tmobile 4G VoLTE=NO

I loved this phone. The VoLTE was what got me. In NYC, you'd always have 4G data. But T-mobile uses the 2G GSM bands to initiate calls when you don't have VoLTE.
A lot of areas are VoLTE and Tmobile didn't seem to use those bands to initiate calls to phones that lack VoLTE.

I'd have full bars on LTE and people would later say they could not reach me. They would wait for me to pick up and I'd never know until later. I'd very rarely get phone calls.
Outgoing calls were 3G.

Yeah, no VoLTE is gonna be a nope for me. This could fly back in 2017, but not today.
