You have to add each line manually but it's all free as add-on option.
If I go through the link on the front page of T-Mobile, I can 'Select a different line' and do it for each line individually.

Thanks for the post. I live in a rural area and depend on my hotspot for internet. This will be really helpful when the grandchildren come over and do their schoolwork online.
You do know what you're talking about right, 'grandchildren coming over' during social distancing is definitely not something that you should be considering. Please be careful and stay healthy.

Yikes activating seemed to have removed a free line promo I had. On chat now to fix - so caution to those with promos.

What do you mean? It's an add-on, it should not change anything on your account

What's up with all the service providers offers free data, a PR stunt? Shouldn't everyone be at home within Wifi range? Especially with free Xfinity Wifi for all. I know some people in rural areas needs cell coverage but I think 90% of the people should have home internet already. Maybe it's good if you are a trucker.
Everyone has WiFi? Hmm. So why is remote learning off to a rocky start?

Note: This does not apply to mobile hotspot/data-only plans.

I use a T-Mobile 4G hotspot as a backup for when Comcast goes down, but it only has 6GB of data, and no way to increase it online.

I was able to add it to my regular smartphone plans, but I rarely use the hotspot from my phone.

May be this has been addressed already, if so, I apologize for asking again.

This is an ADDITIONAL 10GB of mobile hotspot allowance, meaning you have to have a mobile hotspot plan (or add on to your line) to get the additional amount, right?

Does it show in your available hotspot? I added it to 2 lines, but it doesn't show any more gb available than my usual.

I think as any feature or change it will take 24 hours to update. I have 14gb but haven't used it yet

PDAnet didn't work for me as far as hiding USB tethering to get full speeds. Clockworkmod Tether is the only one I've gotten to work on an unrooted S9+. I haven't tried Netshare with wireless tethering yet.
I use PDAnet frequently. I used usb tether for a while but saw the same speed as wireless. I can play Geforce Now and PS Remote Play on my laptop decently with 4g connection, so pretty fast.

Netshare and PDAnet only work to tether to devices that have the netshare and PDAnet programs/apps as well. So on a Windows PC you need software. This works for most cases, but wireless tether for a game system requires either a paid Netshare app or official hotspot data.

10gb will go a long way as long as you don't download any games/updates.

A lot of people live paycheck to paycheck, with the city being on lockdown and people can't work, they will have to cut cable, streaming subcriptions, gym,and finally, internet. This might come in handy.
I bet these people don't have slickdeals.

I had already received an email that T-Mobile removed all data caps for our plan during corona and I just assumed that meant hotspot data also but this is a bonus.

netshare is free, netshare+ costs money.
