A lot of people live paycheck to paycheck, with the city being on lockdown and people can't work, they will have to cut cable, streaming subcriptions, gym,and finally, internet. This might come in handy.

That'll get you in trouble eventually. It doesn't change the MTU setting or TTL of the data packet, and I think there's one other thing that needs to be changed to match the phone. In addition to that, all the background traffic your computer uses will throw up some red flags, like when your Android phone is constantly pinging "time.windows.com" or the Windows Updates server, or whatever.

TL;DR- it's not hard for them to catch you doing that.

Looks like it requires a feature change on the plan. Possibly a price increase after the 60 days. I was paying $15/month for data and the same cap is now showing $30/month. I noticed they already enabled hotspot at 5mbps without doing anything.

It's not a permanent change to your account. It's just additional 20GB for 60 days (hence, 10GB per billing cycle). Unless they extend it, it'll just fall off your account.

Super nice of them. I cancelled T mobile because of poor coverage, but sure miss the Tuesday deals and perks like these. I may decide to go back after this Tello 6 month contract expires.

What about the free unlimited deal until may 13 they gave many of us recently? If you take this option, does it means you effectively downgraded from free unlimited data for 60 days to free extra 10gb (on top of your existing plan) for 60 days?

This is for "Mobile Hotspot Data," not your regular Mobile data on the phone itself.

Thanks for the post. I live in a rural area and depend on my hotspot for internet. This will be really helpful when the grandchildren come over and do their schoolwork online.

Does that give you unlimited 4g tethering?

Anyone tried to add it to an iPad line yet? Any love for the MI devices that actually provide internet and not just phone/Facebook access during lockdown.
