I'm sure they will reopen soon enough, and even then I bet the return window will be extended. Anyway do you know the answer or not?
I actually had to ask that since I needed to return something. BestBuy does UPS returns for free if you chat with a rep. It went pretty smoothly, bought the Steel Series Arctis Pro from them at full price last Sunday and Monday Steel Series had them for $150 less. No price match but did get full refund.

Dang, hot deal.

I just ordered a 3900x from a different store, $418 and no tax, free shipping. BB total comes out to about $480, so essentially $60 for the SSD. Even with the tax, it's a pretty good deal... but I don't need the drive, so I should pass.........

I upgraded from a 2700x. Huge improvement, not just 450 more MHz boost but the extra cores are so nice. I can have a game up, webex/zoom running, A WLS window and a couple VM's and not break a sweat.
Did you install it on a x470 board? If so, was it a smooth swap? I'm currently on a 2700x.

Best buy does not return bundles without manager approval anymore. That makes it a store by store YMMV. I've tried numerous times on bundles and always been turned down at 3 different best buys.

If you're going to get the Ryzen 9 3900x you mindswell pick up a gen4 pcie nvme ssd with the matching motherboard. This ssd is for pcie gen3. The gen4 can do about 5000MB/s sequential read and 4200 - 4500 sequential write compared to the 3000 - 3500MB/s sequential read you'll see on a gen 3.

This is a CPU many want but most ppl don't need. Price seems to fall very drastically too. Just 3 days ago 3900x was going on sell for $415. I would wait.

And how often does that happen.. not to mention regardless of frequency.very rare use case. But congrats nonetheless

Tempting. But at the rates both are dropping, I'm willing to wait a bit longer. Especially if the 3950x would come down to this level.

What happens if I try to return the NVME in store but keep the cpu? How much will they return? 100+ tax? If so that makes it worth it
They will retroactively charge your card if you try to do that for the full retail price difference.

I bought a package deal for a phone once. They were out of stock for the 'SIM card installation tool" which was valued at $10 or something... They called me weeks later to tell me it was in stock. I didn't need it, so I didn't pick it up. They charged my credit card the difference in price for the full retail cost of the phone I had bought because I didn't execute the full package.

You'r making this decision very hard... still running a 1700x and I render stuff for work.
