Argh. I got the 7 qt deal from C&B awhile back and love it, but it's awfully large for most of my cooking with it. This would be more ideal, but do I really need smaller one for 140 when I can just use the larger one? #firstworldproblems

Where are people finding the 7qt clearances, etc.? I'm not finding them.
The were no current 7-quart sales when I checked a couple hours ago.

I suggested people wait for the 7QT to go on sale. Much better value for the money because of the extra volume. Plus, most recipes are made for six and seven quart ovens. If you go with the five quart, the recipe may not fit and you have to scale down the recipe. or it will fit and then you don't have any room to work and stir in case you're making a large batch of gumbo stew etc.

I have a lodge. And with mild use the bottom has already discolored quite a bit. This is usually very good quality stuff.
Is it the enamel that is discolored? If you soak it in some white vinegar for a while that might remove most or all of the stains. I have a Lodge and I find that white vinegar works to remove any discoloration every time.

There was a pretty insane Black Friday Deal that had the 7 qt from Crate and Barrel for $120. A lot of people jumped on that, which is why it's probably mentioned in this thread so much.

Including China based enamel leaching God only knows what into your food. Staub and LC are made in France by a bunch of pussies.
Wow... I can see we have our best and brightest here. I'm guessing the earth is flat too?

So every other brand out there is from China and has lead?? NO.
And your second comment is disgusting. Your parents must be so proud to see they're raised an ignorant bigot.

Yes... 7 quart if it's your only one... I'm waiting for a deal on that size, this is too small.

I purchased a 7qt from crate and barrel site in december for 120. Took about 2 months to deliver but it finally came.

Our local Costco also has a tall 6.5 Le Creuset for 199.

I also have the 5.5 at Fontignac from Costco that I paid 79 for. Works great the past few years but there is a chip or two around the top edge. doesn't affect performance though.

Did you copy and paste that from some where or is that based on your experience with the brand?
I don't see any 7 qts on Zwillings site that are a "better deal" than these 5 qts. They do have some on sale but they're more than double the price of these 5 qt, at
No copy paste. It came out of my head based on many many months of research across many brands. I take my cookware seriously :-)

The seven QT pots are not on sale yet. Has someone stated, crate and barrel had seven QT for 120 bucks. I was in for one. But I already had a seven QT. So I canceled my crate and barrel order.

Zwilling site has many sales, but periodically. They usually are visually imperfect. These are slight blemishes on the outside but never on the cooking surface. You'll save a bundle on those.

I have seen seven quart pots on the zwilling site for about 140 bucks. I used to post on slickdeals.net when I saw them. So my advice to you is to check out their site daily.

when someone gets a blemished pot and it goes back to the retailer, it eventually goes back to zwilling. And they put it up for sale as visually imperfect.

Edit:. Their clearance page filtered on cast iron items.

Good price on an excellent product, but the "original price" is grossly inflated. $250ish is more normal for these.
