Is Saturday night and I REALLY want to look at the new crts I got. But I'm not going to because if I Iook I'm just going to start making breakdowns and leave the house on Sunday morning to coupon. Ima do the right thing and stay home. I'm not gonna let CVS lure me in with possibly really good crts!

They also issued a stay at home order where I live today too. I just got back from cvs to burn some more ECBs from my three cards.
Card 1: $143.99 ECBs down to $85.99 ECBs
Card 2: $121.99 ECBs down to $70.99 ECBs
Card 3: $154.99 ECBs down to $64.99 ECBs
I'm happy with the amount of ECBs I am left with. Most of them expire on 4/21.

unless you spent down more ECBs since last week, you still have quite a few to spend. I don't think the stay at home orders are going to let up anytime soon
not to be a bad influence but I have thought about this for myself and this is what I came up with. If I go out, I run the risk of contracting the virus. However, I still have to provide necessities for my family which means getting out for me. So as long as I am still healthy, it makes sense for me to do what I can now. If I don't and I contract the illness 2 weeks from now right before my ECBs expire, then I won't be able to get out and use them at all.
So I will just try to get in and out as quick as possible and take extra cleaning precautions and hope/pray for the best
needless to say, I am writing up my coupon lists for this week

That IS the issue which is why I think some people are hoarding things. They have come to the conclusion if things get bad, they might get infected or already are and then they can't go out for 3 weeks and THEN what? What we have is what we have unless we have someone to get things for us, which I do not. Luckily I had almost everything in my stash except things like fresh produce, cheese, margarine, meat for more than a week.

I do NOT want anything that will generate more ecbs that I have to roll. ALL I WANT is to at best to use as much as I have. For me this week it's pop tarts and 2 liter diet cokes unless by some miracle there is more food. I doubt the freezer items I buy are in this week's cycle of sale items and I've got that already anyway but at this point, I'd take more just to get rid of ecbs. Heck, I'd even buy ice cream if I had a bit of freezer space but unfortunately my freezer is not that big and has pizzas taking up way too much space.

Be careful at cvs. There was a pharmacist with a major hacking cough running from the stock room to the pharmacy. I told the cashier and he just went back to texting on his phone like it was no big deal. And the new sneeze guards are large pieces of plastic. Maybe good for employees who man the same spot with a mask on but it's horrible for customers. If that plastic gets coughed on, sneezed on, touched while passing items thru it, it's contaminated and plastic stays contaminated for days. I asked how often is this cleaned and they said? Huh? We don't need to clean it!

I guess there are delivery services, but there is no guarantee your goods wouldn't get contaminated from the person handling your items anyway. Meat cases here have been mostly empty during the times I have shopped, and as much as I try to "stock up" on fresh food items, I find myself needing to re-supply once a week or so. There are a couple things I have wanted in the past day or two, which under normal circumstances I would have made a trip to the store for, but I am trying to minimize my trips out now so I couldn't justify fulfilling my wish for instant gratification this time. Hopefully I will remember them later this week when I have a bigger shop to do.

There is a $5/3 Colgate DQ -- looking ahead to next week.. I think it would be better to save it. Expiration date is 4/11. A lot of times when we get that DQ - we also get an IP, but as of right now - there isn't one on couponsDOTcom.

Has anyone done online shopping with CVS? I have a few hundred in ECBs expiring in next two weeks and cannot go out. Too high risk for me. Will buy a few items that I can use that give ECBs so I will have something to get back in the game with, but need to know that they are actually fulfilling orders. With no CS to call I am not forfeiting all the ECBs I'd lose if they simply don't fill orders. I would just leave the box in my garage for a month if need be to avoid contamination.

We have been on lockdown for almost two weeks now and I did go out on the 15th and rolled close to $100 over two cards then but I'll be darned if I don't give it a good fight to get something. CVS has been mum over everything and I see a lawsuit in the making. Would Attorney General have any clout to make them honor when we are socially responsible not to be out and retailer won't cooperate in like manner? I know, I know First World problems. Done with rant.Peace

Bottom line, any word on whether online order is worth the effort?

Someone on here said they ordered online and order was canceled and they were on hold to get EBs refunded but that was when CS was still open. I do know that EB are not automatically refunded when order is canceled. Maybe that's the way to go? Then call for refund when this is over?

Ofcourse if you need essentials items then go out and get them. If I need some essential items I will out and get them too. The majority of the crts are for non essential items so that's I meant by I don't wanna look and be tempted to shop for non-essential stuff. I feel like I need to do the right thing and do my part in my community and stay inside. I have to not only think about myself but also the people who are more prone to get the virus. I'm aware I have alot of ECBs to spend. Is not the end of the world if they expire on me.

It was HollyGolightly, these were her posts
I don't think she got her ECBs back yet, as Extracare has been closed

Be careful ordering online. I made an order this morning and it was just cancelled .. and of course my ECBs weren't refunded.

I am on hold with CVS now.

I know people are suggesting online ordering, but in this crazy time -- it can lead to a big headache.

EDIT - just sat on hold for 28 minutes and was told that only ExtraCare can help me - which doesn't open until Monday.

My city just ordered a stay-at-home order (but not a shelter in place) starting at midnight tonight.. CVS will still be open, as well as other stores but you're only supposed to go out for essentials. I am going to get in one last trip to CVS before the deadline.

CVS Carepass is closed for an undetermined time... so if you order online and it gets cancelled...and you need to them to refund your ECBs -- you're going to have to wait with me until they reopen.

Thumbup Well said. I already used down my ECBs enough that I don't need to do small MMs "just to roll" anymore. The items on my list this week are ones that I would consider necessities, so I might as well use up some ECBs on them
