40lbs on Amazon is $35 probably cause that shipping will cost them

Not the best price, I usually get the 20 lb bags at Walmart for $9.XX, but I don't want to go to Walmart at all now, and my feathered friends still need to eat, so I'm in for this for convenience and safety more than the price. Thanks OP.

This might be a good deal for this specific product but it is not a good deal overall for black oil sunflower seeds.

I would strongly encourage you to use black oil instead of general bird seed mix, especially if you have problems with starlings. They will not eat the stuff. I find that house sparrows also do not enjoy it as much as the mix but will still come to it sometimes. It will attract pretty much everything else that you want at your feeder.
