No point in renting a car, even if it is free for the whole month. You will need extreme luck to find parking near a healthcare facility and alternating parking times will make it nearly impossible. Want to pay for a parking spot? $16/hr.

I mean...it's a nice gesture...but let's be real...those cars would be otherwise sitting in their lots collecting dust.
Sitting there with no miles/wear added to the vehicles. I assure you that is better for them financially than free rentals.

Yea, I'm sure the company is just doing this from the kindness of their heart. Definitely has nothing to do with winning future favor over their competitors from millions of healthcare workers.

Alternate side parking was suspended for the near future

Sister fired 50+ people that work for Hertz this week. Sucky times.

They can't win even when they do good. Who cares the motivation. They are helping people.

Some people are never happy. You do something nice and they say something you do nothing and they say something. Ignore them and let the healthcare workers take advantage of it, especially those in NY. The last thing you want to do is take public transportation, walk on the streets, or get picked up after caring for patients. They probably want to isolate themselves even from family.

This is amazing. I wonder if they'll stretch this to Chicago in the near future.
