For reference, this is the M6 model, which is the lowest of Vizio's three M55 model offerings - basically amounts to the number of dimming zones. This has 10, the M7 has 16, and the M8 has 90. For the price, this is great, however.

It was $358 last month and I bought one then. It's a pretty good TV for the price, I think the 4k picture is quite good. Obviously not the best. I'm not super picky but the 10 local dimming zones don't seem horrible to me. I've definitely seen worse on an old LG I had when local dimming was fairly new.

Personally I think most people would be happy with most TVs. But so many people are told they have to run all these test videos that are designed to show a flaw that more often than not wouldn't show up during normal viewing or not enough that most people would notice. Which makes people get buyers remorse. So many TVs get returned for dumb reasons when if the person just set up the TV and started watching their regular shows they'd be happy in most cases.

The local dimming with 10 zones is horrible .its like tiny camera flashes on parts of the screen. If u turn it off , the picture quality is decent. bought it as a replacement for my tcl p607 which broke . Had to return it and bought 6 series r613 from costco at 399. Much better tv with 100 zones.

I just got the 65 lg 7 series for lower($479) at Costco. I think that's the best deal atm for the price, size, and tech.

awesome budget 4K tv. I bought a refurb when they were $231, it was definitely worth it. Xbox One X looks/works great with the lowered input lag setting (can't remember the name of it right now) for gaming and the smart features are smooth.
