Thanks for the update. I tried with an EDU discount code earlier in the week and it didn't seem to work (took 20% off of the regular $135 price for three 5 series keys). Tried again today and it brought the price down to $81. That's 10% off of the $90 promo price, so not sure how the discount is being applied, but at least it's something!

Dude, did you even read the article...

"representatives from all five password managers pointed out that the researchers' analyses were conducted two years ago, and that many of the flaws described in the paper had since been fixed"
not only that. this statement is false:

"All the password managers except Keeper did not seem to limit incorrect guesses of the user's master password in the Chrome browser extension."

I know because my g/f got locked out when she got her new laptop after 4 or 5 tries using the Lastpass extension in Chrome.

How is this free if you have to pay the price of two? Misleading, and thumbs down for wrong price.
Just love people like you (sarcasm)

I paid $112+tax for 2 yubikey 5Ci and 1 yubikey 5. Maybe it works with 5Ci not 5?

Thetis Fido U2F Security Key [amazon.com]
You could use this one for two factor authentication. It looks like it only supports the FIDO U2F standard, so it lacks the protocol support the YubiKey 5 Series keys have.

Nope. I just have an interest in cybersecurity and know a decent amount about YubiKeys because I've used them for quite a while.

what kind of bullshit post is this? Enthusiast post a decent deal here and as a bonus engage with the thread and you accuse them of being a shill.

Well if you have a recent Google Pixel phone, the Titan chip inside acts like a Yubikey so you dont need one of these.

Can I plug my phone into a laptop as a security key? I don't like that it itself is an internet capable device. I like the standalone key.

It works through a Bluetooth connection between your Android 7.0+ phone and computer browser.
