I read TMM as a digital checkout from my library. Not sure about Proximity Principle.

I'm sure he doesn't accept credit cards, right? That would be hypocritical.

This seems well timed by Dave Ramsey. The information inside will tell most people not to spend their stimulus check on frivolous things, but to secure your finances by paying off debt, and to create an emergency fund if you have no debt. And since well off people do not get the handout, I'd agree it makes perfect since for most all recipients to follow his plan.

The other option, spend it on things you dont need. The government is borrowing money to give to people to spend to prop up the economy. Do you really want to take their financial advice.

Also, for people who receive the check but do not actually need it or feel they didn't earn it, consider a charity. Charities will be receiving less than usual, as would be expected, but they need more now as well.

The cost of a book to learn finances seems like it would not be the straw that breaks the camel's back for that person's finances, whether it's paid with a CC or not. I agree with your premise though, but it would be much more hypocritical if it wasn't $2.

+1 to the charity.

All the Goodwill locations here are closed to the public which stinks because this time of year is when people are going to do a lot of spring cleaning and donating.

Uncle Dave would say stay off of SD, too much impulse being with credit cards.

I saw on the local news people were just dumping their crap all around the Goodwill stores. It was already ugly after one week.

Some of his advice needs updating, but it could be helpful for some.
