It's a decent price, but Rosewill is like Harbor Freight tools, you only get it when you really need something quick and cheap, they are not long term replacement.
it will be okay, just wash hands before and after using and don't touch your face while using.

I bought the K52 that I bought for the same price last November 2019. I am extremely happy with it. No software needed for the RGB function. It feels very tactile, the clicks sound and feel very satisfying. It is my first gaming keyboard, but for $20 with free shipping was perfect for my build.

So this is not recommended for a long-term replacement? Will it be an upgrade from my amazonbasics keyboard?

I got this Rosewill keyboard [newegg.com] for $30 after a $50 rebate in 2016. It has been my main keyboard ever since I got it and it even survived a clay pot with a fern falling from 4 feet.

The software that came with it is not great though.

I would say it is, I go through hardware fast. I work from home and game on my desktop so spending extra on well known brands are worth it for me. For normal use, it should last you a bit.

Personally I'd look at a real albeit off brand mechanical keyboard like the Phillips G400, it uses proprietary switches but it's not a pretend mechanical keyboard like this. It's also only backlit white but I'd rather have a good keyboard with less bling. You can get the G400 for 10 bucks on eBay last I looked (bought two at that price)

This is like once a life time deal, I even got some for $25 after rebate, real cherry switch mechanical key board.

After going mechanical, I could never go back... You can get decent off-brand mechanical boards for $25-$30 when they're on sale though. I currently have a Monoprice that's great. In my opinion, it'd be worth it to shell out a little more money for a good keyboard.
