Staples Ink Recycle with FREE UPS Shipping Labels.
While Staples has suspended ink recycling at stores, you can still recycle by shipping cartridges/toner to Staples.

Please allow up to 10 business days for processing recycled cartridges, rewards members can earn $2 for each cartridge you recycle if you have spent at least $30 in ink and toner purchases at Staples within the previous 180 days. Cartridges are either reused as remanufactured cartridges or are broken down and used in the production of other office products.

- Login to your account
- Select Staples Rewards
- Select Recycle Ink & Toner
- Select Recycle Ink & Toner Online tab
- Verify or edit your shipping information
- Request and print labels your FREE UPS Shipping Label

Shipping Instructions
- Wrap inkjet cartridges in protective material or their original packaging to prevent damage during shipping.
- Fill a sturdy box with ink and toner cartridges. A minimum of 5 cartridges per box.
- Ensure the label is legible.
- Tape the label to your box.
- Tape your box shut. Reinforce the seams on heavy packages.
- Give it to your UPS driver or take it to a UPS drop-off location.

UPDATE: Many Staples stores are accepting carts/toners for recycling now. Call ahead to check before making the trip or mailing in your recycles for May. YMMV

To participate in online cartridge recycling program please follow these steps:
1. Log onto staples.com/rewards
2. Navigate and click on "Recycling Ink & toner" in the Quick Link menu
3. Follow steps to "Recycle Ink & Toner Online"
a. Verify or edit your shipping information.
b. Request and print labels.
A minimum of 5 empty cartridges is required for each label and boxed shipped. Consolidating cartridges reduces packaging waste and saves fuel. If less than 5 cartridges are shipped in 1 box, future shipments will not be accepted.
Staples Rewards membership is FREE. For full program details, visit staples.com/rewards.

Send all you need to in one box...not just 5. 5 is the minimum. The maximum is based on your account. Business Plus members can send up to 20 in one box. Regular accounts can send up to 10.
