Terrible price for 8th gen CPU and no GPU.
Just compare apples to apples vs past Lenovo 2in1 slickdeals

similar 2in1's to that should be $300-500 right now
https://slickdeals.net/f/12846964 (Expired Deal)

But i would recommend a superior option 10th gen i7 & discrete GPU.

Did you just compare this to an
I5-8 / 8gb / 128gb?? Are you trolling ?
That was 500 , so how this OP be in the 500 range ?

I disagree that you're comparing apples to apples in any comparison. It's not the same at all to your first one.

As to your "superior option" I think that depends on one's needs.
The Yoga has USB-C charging, the Flex does not.
According to use times, the Yoga has 11.5 hrs, the Flex has 8hrs.
The Yoga is over a pound lighter than the Flex.
The 8th Gen i7 of the Yoga has less processing power as compared to the 10th gen i5, but I bet 95% of users won't notice.
Who needs use of a GPU on a notebook that small?

For my purposes of lightweight and portable, I'd opt for the Yoga.

Flex is very much a budget laptop, and the Yoga 730 is a mid tier. You can't just look at CPU....

The yoga c930 with similar specs has been available in the under $800 range in the recent past. I'd wait for a deal on that instead for a more premium build.

I just want HP to ship my 10th generation 13-inch Spectre X360! Waiting over a month now after pulling plug on what was the best price (by a bit) and now not looking so great if prices start dropping.

It is not apples to apples to just look at the processor. The entire look, feel, performance, and engineering of the Yoga are top notch. I have used every Lenovo family of machines out there and the Yoga is still my choice for a personal machine. Thinkpad all day for work, but for social media and entertaiment, give me the Yoga.

Did the Yoga Pro line ever expand past Pro 3?
That was a such killer laptop, way ahead of its time...4k, 1/2", 2.x lbs, and those "watchband" hinges...work of art.

A lot of people don't have Costco membership and there's a 5% surcharge for non-members to order off the website, that factors into the value.

Please stop trolling. I hope you never get a job as an insurance claims processor given your "comparable" skills.

But I do agree that this is not a great deal even if the price is not bad. But certainly not sub $500 that you suggest for an i7, even 8th gen, not to mention IPS touch screen, 16GB/512GB.

Comparable zenbook flips don't go lower than $700 for that combination.

Student discount takes an additional $50 off.

I HIGHLY advise getting the warranty for it. I bought the Yoga 720 a few years ago, and didn't use it once. My boyfriend stepped on it and broke the screen after the warranty period, and they still replaced it free of charge. Would they do it again for someone else? Hard to tell, but just because of this I'm going to be a loyal Lenovo customer.

I love this laptop. I use it for class, I have the stylus for it and it makes it perfect. I cannot game on it, which is kind of sad, but I did buy it for school use.

This is going to be the normal price for 5-year-old Intel laptop chips now that manufacturers have accepted that AMD's Ryzen 4000 laptop APU will slay. Sale price on these should be $600. Seriously.
