Any comments on how the Superior compares to the Lone Peak? They look like pretty similar missions but hard to tell.

EDIT: So far I've learned the Superior is closer to minimalist, while Lone Peak is more cushioned. Slight weight difference, too. Depends heavily on your trails.

It seems to be working now but there's a slight difference on price between the two torin examples

I prefer the superior to the lone peak because it has little less stack height. The loan peak feels like walking in stilts sometimes.

Question I have: what color is "green"? did they really mean black like the photos, it are those just stick photos?
could they mean gray/lime? per Altra website:

Are you sure you're talking about the lone Peak? It's really not that high off the ground
I have two pairs

But I really like running in the timp and escalantes

You nailed it. I've had both of the current versions and the Superior is definitely the minimalist to the Lone Peak. The TIMP has slightly more cushion than the Lone Peak.

However, none of these differ in cushion as drastically as the cushion difference between the Torin and Torin Plush.

Yup, I have a gen 1 lone peak that was perfect, and a gen ~3 when they first came in neoshell, and it is massive. Maybe they've reduced it since then? 25 vs 21mm stack height of the superior isn't a huge difference, but on the border of too much for me.

Thanks. I run in the Lone Peak and came from a more minimalist background, so they do feel high to me. When I land right on a rock or root, I'm pretty happy for that insurance, though. My only beef is my ankles tend to roll a bit on technical terrain — same probably I have with any taller (stack) shoes, though.
