A normal price on Amazon for 10" is probably $400 and other places are higher. Again, last time it hit this price it went frontpage, so it is a pretty good price.
It is usually 599 at Home Depot and is currently on Special Buy at Home Depot for 399.97 (which for HD is a good price)

It has only been this price at Menards (but shipping brings that price up to 366 before tax) and on Amazon. Other retailers charge much more.
Therefore, since Aug, for those that do not live next to a Menards and can visit store, it has only been this price delivered from Amazon for about 3 days total. This is a specialty tool (there are only two manufactures of axial cam compound miter saws (Bosch is other), and this is the only one with shadow line).
So, if you want a axial cam compound miter saw with shadow line, this is the only option. And, it is a really good price right now. Not sure why you are stating that it is always available at this price, since that just is not true.
