If you want to plug and play without wondering if you could do better, then this is a decent setup for relatively cheap, but again, it is refurb, then again it carries dell warranty. Idk how good are those warranty but I still had my refurb xps laptop from dell outlet since 2018, still no dead parts so far.

But if you are bored because of the quarantine, you can youtube those build your own pc.
I'm thinking ~330 for matx mobo/ryzen5/16g ram, $100 for psu+ssd, $400 gpu, $50 for a case, maybe it cost around the same, but you can customized it and made it your own thing.

Warranty expires in less than 1 year. Seems short doesn't it?

Dell warranties transfer. These were bought refurbished from Dell in January with a one year warranty and now dealtrain is selling them on ebay. Alienware come with one year warranties by default and they are expensive to extend.

I had it in the cart contemplating if i should buy it lol. This would have been great to put an extra SSD to dual boot Mac OS.

For a high end gaming brand, their case design is pretty generic looking, looks like a old IBM case.

refurbish doesn't mean the item had something wrong with it, it could just be someone return it cause they thought it was too heavy or not powerful enough. Manufacture have to refurbish it...mean they check it out and everything works or there was a faulty part. In my opinion OEM refurbish items are better than getting a new item meaning the faulty item is fix and you get at a good price. The only problem with refurbish is with 3rd party refurbish...they don't do jack and they basically use cheap parts to fix and usually never replace the batteries in items that has batteries.

I think what i meant to say is that you'll have more control to components you would have in your pc as in 80+ gold psu, 3200mhz ddr4, dram cached ssd etc instead of those default oem stuffs
