Why are they still making Surface with 4GB of RAM. All the other big boys got at least 8GB

Yeh, really no one should be buying this so that the product with specs this low is seen as a failure.

It's plenty of power depending on what your needs are. For watching Netflix, using MS Office, browsing the web, email, posting to social media and more, it's more than enough power.

Slickdeals has a Link to a 2 terabyte USB 3.0 drive for $46 if more storage is needed. To combat a shortage of RAM in any computer, Windows creates virtual memory, which although slower, can allow tons of programs to run simultaneously. With solid state drives, the lag compared to actual ram is not as bad as it used to be.

If someone is looking for graphic arts, gaming or video editing, none of the surface 7's will cut it. You'd need a dedicated gaming laptop and for one as small and light as this, it will cost $$$$.

To get into a rig this light weight and versatile, this thing is a great deal.
You can do the same thing with a 99 dollar tablet. I don't know about you but I don't want to buy something and have to disable this and disable that and buy this and buy that to get where it need to be for me to be happy with what I just bought. I want to have something with the shit already in and ready to used without doing anything else to it.

For the use case that you've mentioned, why not get an iPad?

I like using a mouse or touchpad. That said, that's another great option.

I wanted a name brand 2 in 1 PC under 2 pounds (that's most important) with a bright screen (I use it outside) and ideally better than full HD resolution for movies. I ideally wanted it on a newest gen processor, either 10th gen Intel or Ryzen. Please send links to the $99 ones your talking about that match those specs or up to $500. I haven't purchased this yet and would appreciate other options. Thanks!!

Cool, I didn't even know they had a trackpad, thx! How much would an iPad setup cost that's newest gen and about the same screen size as the surface? Everything I'm finding is looking like double the price. I'm trying to stay $600 + tax all in tops.
