Thats weird. I paid full price for this exact knife a few weeks ago in home depot. It was $10. They either raised prices 50% or the regular price is a lie
I paid $10 for mine, but mine doesn't have blade storage... for all those who paid "full price of $10" you probably don't have blade storage either
If you don't need the blade storage, the Fastback Compact is less boxy and thinner thus more compact to carry.

Here's a kit that has the FASTBACK Compact Flip Utility Knife With 6 in. Fixed Jab Saw for $13 with free shipping or store pickup.

Note: earlier version of the Fastback Compact used to have a natural finish liner but now the newer Fastback Compact comes with the black liner which looks cheap. Some users may like the new handle. Earlier model has a curved thumb ramp on top of the blade holder to prevent slipping.

NEW – with black liner
FASTBACK Compact Folding Utility Knife – 48-22-1500
• revised grip
• black liner
• black wire clip

EARLIER – with steel finish liner
Fastback Compact Flip Utility Knife – 48-22-1906
• thumb ramp
• larger steel finish pivot
• stainless flat pocket clip
• slimmer handle

I recall the blister pack for $20 was two knives, one is smaller while the other is this one, mostly metal body. I love these knives for breaking down boxes and they work so much better than the liner lock style, especially when wearing gloves. The only issue I have with this generation vs the last, is the blade compartment feels looser and drops down a bit while in the open position. My older knife is much more click-closed.

Yeah me too, the blade storage feature sounds awesome. I just picked up two.

Be careful what you wish for. I have one with the blade storage, and the storage compartment doesn't lock down securely. I don't use the storage anymore because it had a nasty habit of opening accidentally during use.
