typically the premium ones say impact ready and are black - as opposed to the grayish ones that have been around since the beginning of screw gun bits - I believe makita has gold which are premium
Again, most Ace Hardware stores are locally owned franchises, your friends and neighbors own and work in these stores. Most locations are currently doing curbside pick as your pickup option, you don't actually enter the store. If you live in the remaining GOP states without a shelter in place order, then don't be stupid. It's a deal that most of us can safely take advantage of while supporting our local businesses. I appreciate both your feedbacks, but I'll continue to provide deals to this site, unlike either of you.
I just want to add. I just picked up my set and the picture on the ace site is the not the actual set. I knew this before I made the purchase because I googled the part number. If you lookup DWA2T40IR, you'll see the actual set on amazon for comparison.

I'm seeing 19.99 even after signing in.

*Edit* After refreshing the page, I got the following message "Extra $5.00 off for Ace Rewards members ends 04/28/20 (Limit 4)"

Nevermind. I can't order even if I want to. What a shit website.

When you walk in an Ace Hardware it feels like an old timey store that your grandfather would typically shop in but damn, they could modernize their website a little.
I have never been able to get their website to work properly with Firefox but seems to work ok with chrome. Maybe try that?

I dunno if this was just my local ACE (which I typically like) but when I did a curbside pickup for just $14.98 of merchandise (three small containers of 2 stroke oil) and showed them both the email order confirmation on my phone and my photo ID, they still required me to physically take their printout and sign that I had received the items. Their COVID-19 info page doesn't mention this small detail (that it's not contactless) when they talk about curbside pickup. Again though, maybe just my local store.

Their website is junk, i tried ordering a 24 foot werner fiberglass ladder for 209.00 and had to go to the store to order it. Store said they screwed up and the ladder was their cost. Still ordered it and got free delivery.

I'm usually a huge fan of DeWalt for hitting the price/performance sweet spot, but I bought these (on sale of course) last year and they have not lasted. I can make even Ryobi bits last a good while, but these DeWalts just crumbled on me. Perhaps I just got a bad batch, but damn they were a disappointment.

Anyone have an opinion on this set from milwaukee? I'm undecided between the 2.

I am a big Milwaukee fan but these sets seems to have a lot of the same bits. And unless you're working with a crew where everyone needed to use the same bits, then I would go with the DeWalt. It has more variety and half the price.
