This seems to be a excellent price for a great product. However it is just the normal Costco price.

I bought this set, a few months back. It is great but probably overkill for most people.

As always, it depends on people's situation. For me it put an end to the daily complaints about the wifi. It also saved me the trouble of trying to run a cable to a second access point on another floor. All well worth the price. So for some people, it's a great solution.

Parents - FYI - you have to pay $50/year to have parental controls that include a bedtime feature. This kills the Orbi product for me.

While that is true, I ended up buying a cheap "circle by Disney" classic device, which has no perpetual fee. As I recall, it was a slick deal last year> If you can pick one up for cheap, it works great with this system.

I had the 2 piece Orbi. It wasn't that great and ended up taking it back. My Linksys E6500 and Linksys WRT1200 bridged worked better than this. The parental control didn't work, speeds dropped down to 200mb on both wired and wireless, and the cyber threat protection was junk. Support was worthless and they blamed it on my ISP first and then wanted me to factory reset it all after I spent hours configuring it. So I figured I'm returning it anyway and did it and same problems. Also tried the google nest WiFi that was okay but lacked some of the features and required the setup through the smart phone app. Waiting for a good deal on a tri band Linksys Velop to try out.

I bought this, but the one thing that sounds horrible is that is auto updates itself and it cannot be turned off. Think I might see if I can disable it in my PI hole.

Having used this system for over a month now I wouldn't get it again and I'll probably sell it... Connection speed from AP to the clients is crap and jumps all over even when not moving I can watch it go from 7 mbps to 340 and everything in between... But rarely above 130, and usual around 48
I only use it in AP mode so no idea about the router functions but AP is crap

I have this and havent had too many issues. Main issue was that sometimes my phone drops the wifi and it comes back a second or two later. Not sure if it's my phone or not. The seamless transition from satellite to satellite is great for me. All my speeds seem proper wired and even wireless.

Received mine last week from Costco, so far I'm loving it. I'm getting around 400mb both down and up in most rooms in my house. My only issue is I can't get the Ethernet backhaul to work. I believe it's because I have 2 gig switches in between the router and the satellites. Ethernet backhaul probably won't be any faster than the dedicated 5G backhaul but I still want to use it since I have the Ethernet there...

Only 1 week in but I would highly recommend this at this point.

Am contemplating getting a mesh system or two or three EAP245 v3's and the controller. My main concern is hand off performance not necessarily coverage, since they all pretty much have good coverage.
