I would avoid shirts like this from BR Factory. The quality is much, much worse and they don't last long. It's worth it to buy regular BR instead.

Jackets and pants are ok though in my experience. Still lower quality, but you don't wash them as often so they'll last longer. Material doesn't feel as nice but will still look/fit nice.

I agreed with you, the banana republic factory polo shirt's quality is the same like other off brands. I think they just rebranded them with Banana Factory label.

Most of the time the color won't last more than 4 washes. Pique polo, once you got it, the color is different from the website and the shirt texture is much coarser. I bought 8 of them from previous sale, now it's just hanging in the closet. I wore them sometimes, but it's just not good. The soft one, color faded within 4 washes.

Basically you will get what you pay for.

I hate buying clothes online because obviously you can't tell the fit especially after washing. How can you tell if the clothes fit if you can't return them after washing per their terms?

I'm buying because of gains--old polos don't fit any more!

Just FYI, I ordered these last time this was front page (15% discount, I think) and they still haven't shipped. Ordered 3/31, expected delivery 4/9, and just today it's marked 'Delayed.'

I'll go further than saying the factory shirts are garbage, having bought way too many BR polos from both factory and regular 'mall' stores: The non-factory designated BR polos are also horrible. I never had one that lasted/looked decent after a few washings.

I've just never had good luck with BR anything except a pair of dress shoes, in terms of both fit and quality. My wife had the opposite experience with them, so maybe their women's line is better?

I have had the complete opposite experience actually. Shirts have been great and I've always added at least a handful every year during their spring sale because my previous collection seemed to hold up well. Old ones never seem to go bad. Pants, specifically jeans, on the other hand have been 50/50. Some are great and some didn't make it through a single season and shrunk during wash. Now I just air dry everything, jeans and shirts, and that seems to keep the quality of things from season to season. I may have only tossed out 2 shirts and 2 jeans over a course of maybe 6-7 years of usage. I never gain weight so things do fit me for long periods of time, lol.
