This is the normal price for this keyboard.
I purchased this keyboard literally last week for $50 on Amazon. I can tell you that this feels great... It's one of the best feeling membrane keyboards out there. The RGB is a nice to have... you can adjust 3 zones with different colors or turn them off withOUT the need for additional software. Programming macros also does not require software. For the purpose of casual gaming or non-gamers / home office users, this should feel so much better than your typical $20 keyboard or $40 wireless setup. It's also much quieter than I imagined it would be for the response feedback that I get from the key presses, so it helps when I'm working from home with an infant in the same room sleeping.

Good keyboards never seem to go on sale. Perhaps the supply always remains low or something else.

For a few bucks more, it's worth getting a mechanical keyboard. Brown or red switches.

I have this and really enjoy work and gaming. The included wrist rest works great.

Only thing I wish was better is the RGB. It's there and works but is only 3 zones.

Overall at this price, I would buy another in a heartbeat.

It is usually $50, but it drops to $40 every couple months.

I want to Buy this for League shenanigans on reddit where some guy totally created a LED sim that would play with these lights on champion abilities. But I already have a MS office keyboard. Decisions.

I have a K70 with browns that I love, and I'd completely agree with you... except for the fact that the K95, which is Corsair's only keyboard with brown switches and macro keys (and nearly identical to this one) goes for $150-$200 retail. If you can find that for under $100 that'd be a fantastic deal.

I also have the k70 with browns. my only complaint is the keycaps sometimes pop off. Also a keycap popped off and the little plastic slot on the keycap cracked and no longer stays in place.
Got keyboard as gift and corsair might not send me a replacement keycap.

First time for me a keyboard has had a keycap fall off.

Other than that the RGB backlighting is cool.
