YMMV In-Store/ Authorized Seller: LG OLED65CXP CX Series 4K OLED TV- 65" (2020 Model) - Free Shipping - $2100

I bought the LG OLED65CXP CX Series - 65" this morning from an authorized seller "video only" in Bay Area, CA location. Yes this is a store name Smilie

https://www.videoonly.com/

I paid 2100 + tax + recycling fee = $2300/- total with local next day delivery.

Lowest price for this model seems to be $2500/- total ( No tax in CA) from Value Electronics(Authorized Seller).

It seems that with covid they are more than willing to sell at a discount with very few people in store and low cashflow.

In the Store(Only Video), i saw LG C9/CX and Sony A9G/A8G.

I was either going to buy C9 or CX from an authorized seller, but decided with CX since C9 from greentoe was at $1900/- in CA.

Visually CX seemed little brighter/contrasty than C9 and this was more visible compared to Sony A8G . CX compared to Sony A9G, i could not see any difference

$400 difference on CX vs C9 was worth it to me with better long term support and perceived visual difference. Sony A9G being way more expensive and no visual difference compared to CX, was not my choice.

The store had other good deals on 55" oleds as well, but i didn't pay attention there.

This was my first time and a surprising experience where the store salesman gave me the remote and told me to play around. I was there for 1 hour playing youtube videos on the OLED's and playing with different picture settings to compare them. BestBuy/Costco dont allow this.

Overall good experience and a great deal Smilie

Update: You might be able to score this deal at $2000. I spoke to the sales person who sold it to me. He mentioned if i get more buyers he would be willing to go down further Smilie

For those who cannot go in-store and/or are out-of-state. There is one more option. You can arrange a third party freight shipping that will pickup from store and deliver. If you are out-of-state, as per the sales guy i talked to, they wont charge any sales-tax.
The sales-guy told me that they are responsible for any damages during local shipment/delivery. Thus they dont ship beyond their geographical assigned areas since it becomes too costly for them.

Interested in 77" a little bit closer to 3K. Maybe a group of us can negotiate? Will the seller be interested in selling volume...
If you want it cheaper, dont look for the newest model that just came out. You should be looking for one that is a year or two old.

You can definitely try depending on the buy volume. As other poster mentioned, you will have more luck with 77 C9 at 3k.

Likely due to lightening strike or power spike when u weren't even around. You can get a new board and pop it in yourself for $100-$200. Contact places like shopjimmy.

Thanks! I bought it on my costco visa so they are likely covering the repair.

Ditto. Primary PC display- used for desktop monitor, gaming, movies, tv, etc... 6541 hours of use as of this post, 0 problems, 0 burn in.

Will probably go to my wife as her primary PC display (replacing a Samsung LCD) if/when Nvidia and Denon get around to releasing HDMI 2.1 parts and I upgrade to a newer LG OLED.

Called a couple stores and wasn't able to get the 77" c9 at anything lower than $3999. This might be different in person but would love to hear if anyone is able to drop this lower. I think I would be on board with a sub $3k price for the c9 77" but not sure if this is doable with them.

Can confirm that they are getting the CX 65"s at a list price of $2300 so its sounds very likely that most stores could drop that down in person to OPs price.

FYI Hayward's store is closed and is getting their called forwarded to San Mateo.

They dont tell you the real price on phone. They are afraid it might be their competitor or LG doing a price check.

Go in-store, show them the lowest online price for the model, they will beat it.
Funny thing, when i went in store for lg 65 cx, the tag listed $2800/- and $500 discount for trade-in. I was confused. They told me it is there just to be in-line with LG MAP since LG does do a check on their authorized sellers.

What was the in-store price for 65" C9 ?
Also, is there a way to confirm that the TVs are brand new and not used ? How's this store still in business by giving such deep discounts ?

I was under the same impression but they did quote me the $2300 of the 65" CX over the phone which has an MSRP of $2800 which implies that they won't be able to go much lower on the 77" from what they have as their list price. Maybe LG is planning to lower the price - not sure.

Regardless, would love to hop a similar deal if it's possible for a 77"

I'm in for a 65" group buy.. let's just get 10 folks to pool our money, hire someone to drive across the country with a truck, unloading CX's and mirth along the way. Like a super high tech OLED Santa Claus
