3460x1440 that's weird right? 21:9 is usually 3440x1440

Looking for a new monitor right now, and tempted to get this but I keep hearing horrible anecdotal stories about newegg's monitor return policy (or lack thereof). It's had me sticking to searching for monitors on Amazon since I trust their return policy. Can anyone comment on newegg's trustworthiness here?

For 21:9 — no curve no go
Agree here on the 34" ultrawides, especially if it's a VA panel specifically. Going to get some bad effects towards the edges due to viewing angles.

When I built my Media Server last year I had to return the mother board. It took forever. It's ground shipping returned, so almost a week. Then it takes them a handful of business days to verify your return, so there's another week. Then it was ground shipping back to me, soooo... another week. If it was Amazon they would have sent out a new Mother Board whenever UPS picked up the old one and I would have had it 2 days later. With NewEgg my new PC build had an extra 3 week delay I wasn't very fond of while I stared at a pile of cool new parts I couldn't play with.

I'm in the market for an ultrawide.

Comments seem to have mixed feelings about curved vs flat. Should I hold out for a curved model or are they really more fragile than it's worth?

I was in the same boat as you. about 2 weeks ago I purchased an LG 29" IPS ultrawide. After about a week of use I realized I needed a curved monitor and decided to return it and bought a 35" curved Deco Gear monitor (thank God for Amazon prime). I honestly couldn't believe how much the curved display improved the "field of vision" / viewing experience when multitasking for work. I'll never go back to flat screen (unless I can angle 2 dual flat monitors.. )

I've read that if you're just gaming/watching movies, or doing some sort of creative work that requires "true colors", a flat screen may be best. But when working with dual windows (I.E. excel+PPT), I found myself leaning from side to side or tilting my head at weird angles. That gets old quick!

F-- curved screens. I bought an MSI Optic MPG341 and barely f-ing touched it and the screen broke. I have never seen anything like it. I stored it temporarily in my storage room while making room on the desk for it and next time I picked it up it was broken. I know it was not bumped hard and was barely touched. I returned the fragile P.O.S.

I am done with curved screens. They are just far too fragile.
we believe you

I purchased a non-curved 34" monitor and sent it back within a few days. I can not stress enough how awful that screen was to look at. I now have an Acer Predator x34 (Almost identical to this panel) that comes with the normal viewing curve. I can't explain how big of a difference the slight curve makes. With the flat panel I felt like I was turning my head to look at the edges of the screen. The curved monitor solves that issue in my opinion. Just my experience as someone who tested them both.
