$60 Gigabyte BRIX GB-BSCE-3955 Celeron 3955U Barebones Mini PC Desktop - OEM with free shipping!

https://www.newegg.com/p/1VK-0019-00089

I've had excellent experiences with the Brix lineup over the years. Sure, this is a dated Skylake-based celeron, but it's perfect for anyone like my grandmother who just needs a system for watching YouTube, web browsing, paying bills, and playing mahjong and card games. She absolutely loves the size and how it's not at all in the way in her workspace. Can't beat $60 for this awesome little machine!

EVERYONE--I ORDERED THE MODEL I LISTED, BUT THEY SENT ME GB-BLCE-4105, WHICH IS A QUAD-CORE DDR4 GEMINI LAKE MODEL!
Maybe you all will get the same thing? This may very well be YMMV. Good luck! This is why I was answering questions incorrectly & I apologize.

not if you're going to transcode on the fly, slow CPU.
It has HDMI...
This is a great deal for specific uses.

1. Tiny emulation box.
2. You're already sitting on tons of laptop DDR3/hard drives or SSDs that just need a home

Regardless, I bought one for my son's first computer. He's going to be seven and wants his own computer. This fits the bill nicely.

At this price, I'm in for one. Occasionally you just need a cheapy PC somewhere that doesn't take up too much space.

Totally agree! I'm tempted to buy another one, actually. I ended up spending $131 on the first one for a complete build. Added 8GB dual-channel Ripjaws kit

And M.2 storage

Edit: I screwed up. I bought the DDR4 model and posted a different Brix model. sorry. moron moment!

Was tempted to buy this relic but it looks TOO dated, even for me. And I just bought an old Xeon too. Memory is old generation... at least it has USB 3.0 though. But keep in mind, only Displayport, no HDMI.

Edit: My error -- has both DP and HDMI

Photos @ newegg show both ports.
And you only need a $5 converter to make DP -> HDMI.

The SSD seems like the right choice but I think this machine needs DDR3 RAM.
