Lockdown or not, spending $500 over 3 months is not difficult.

Would rather spend $1250 to get $500 bonus. $200 is not worth a hard pull for me
And which credit card is doing that?

Would paying utility bills online count towards the $500?

Unfortunately it doesn't per Chase: "This product is available to you if you do not have this card and have not received a new cardmember bonus for this card in the past 24 months."

The same offer is available for the Freedom Unlimited, if you prefer unlimited 1.5% cash back in lieu of revolving categories.

You could buy a $500 grocery store gift card and get the 5% bonus this quarter.

I've seen this offer periodically for the past 2 quarters. Compared to competitors it's still an excellent SUB right now, but kinda wish for the 300 on 500 they did like 2 years back

Is there any way to look up how many credit cards I've applied for in the recent past to know if I'm eligible for this? I know chase has some rule about how many you can apply for in a certain time frame.

Get your credit report (https://www.annualcreditreport.com) and review it.
