Keep in mind this was released back in early 2015. Buy only if you need a windows and have a use for it at this moment

I'm here just to reminisce about the HP TouchPad craze/debacle.
I still have dirty dreams about the deals I got on Cowboom...
I purchased this with the charger. The charger is shit, an old style wall adapter with an unremovable cable that can't even charge the tablet at full speed. I also had to do a lot of updating drivers and whatnot to get it to work correctly. If you update the BIOS, but don't select the "update usb c firmware" option in the BIOS afterwards, it will no longer charge.

As for the tablet, it's not unusable for basic office tasks and web browsing, but it is still pretty slow. It can't watch an HD YouTube video without skipping occasionally. And while it does have a Type C port, it does not support any sort of fast charging. Just the standard 12 watts at 5 volts. It also gets rather warm while charging and doing things. The speakers are also terrible, my iPhone 8 Plus is louder and better sounding.

It does have an SD card slot AND a SIM card slot, if you wanted a cheap mobile data office tablet. But I will probably be returning mine, since it's just not enough for other things.

I had a stream, which was earlier versions of this. It's just a touch small for Windows (IMO). But I liked the size for portability and watching movies on the go.

I don't know what your kids are using at school but our district is moving towards Chromebooks. Not saying these would be a wrong choice, but I picked up a CB with a touchscreen (refurbished) for a similar price. Either way, I think they will be fine.

Is this the same one we just bought last week for $80?
Would Newegg honor price adjustment?

As we were talking about windows tablets here, when you mentioned CB, the first thing that came to my mind was Cowboom?

Any feedback on these? I need it for occasional use. I want to run Castle Creations Castle Link and Tekin Hotwire to adjust electronic speed controls (ESC) for my radio control vehicles.

Mine lasted years. Finally died after I turned it into a picture frame.
