I'm out on the East Coast, but I'll take his info too and see what he can do. Thank you
If you need to give an address other than your own it could be problematic because sometimes they will have you pay for the tow iand than mail a check to reimburse the tow if it's not your real address than how are you going to get your money?

Not bad if you're just signing up. But as usual if you're a long time subscriber you're SOL (like with cable/internet). We rarely use ours but just like house/health insurance it's something you have 'in case shit happens'. Funny story about that though. Our family had to use it 2-3 times in one year and these farkers had the balls to send us a letter that we were 'using it too much'. Forget the fact that there's some years where we never use it and paid in for those years and got NOTHING back for the subscription.

This is FALSE
Which insurance company is doing that recently ? Can you please tell
I am having Geico and it doesn't go as a claim
Hmm, maybe don't state your opinion as fact since you do not know the details of everyone's insurance policies. It is not totally false.

I had my car towed 6 months ago using my State Farm Auto Insurance since I have tow coverage. I initially paid for the tow with my credit card using the Sate Farm app, since it was midnight when I needed the tow.

I then contacted my agent the next day and he said I could request reimbursement from State Farm for the $95 tow, but it would then show up as a claim on my State Farm account. He also stated however that it would not affect my policy rates in any way.

I said go ahead process the reimbursement. I received a $95 check from State Farm a few weeks later. The tow shows up as a claim on my account. My rates have not changed. So my agent was correct on all points.

Yeah, even though it did not change my policy rates, I decided I did not want to risk any further tows showing up as claims. So I opted for AAA.

If anyone has discounts for AAA Chicago, please PM me. There are no discounts every time I check, where as other regions have AAA discounts seemingly all of the time.

Your statement doesn't have anything to do with my question.

How does the cancellation works? Can we take the membership and cancel after 1 month? Do they charge prorated or for the entire year?

It does go as a claim but it only shows up on your CLUE score. It does not always raise your rates but can be used to raise your rates.

"Roadside Assistance
Some auto insurers that offer roadside assistance treat your use of it as an at-fault claim and put that through on your C.L.U.E. report.
What's a C.L.U.E. report? C.L.U.E. stands for Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange. It's a shared database insurance companies report to when you make a claim. If you have too many claims on your C.L.U.E. report, that could make you radioactive to other insurers for three years."

I wish I could find the story but this one guy had a POS car with towing on it and he had his car towed 4 times in a year and his insurance dropped him.
