So I'll be the first...this or the masterbuilt propane/charcoal smoker I bought yesterday for the same price?

The negative review is based on paying $389 on it, not $156 so it's tempting.

I have a Z -Grill it's fantastic. Can't tell any quality difference between it and a Traeger.

A pellet smoker 100% of the time. I had a Masterbuilt 30" I would use once a month.

I use my pellet smoker 3 times a week, or more.

I'm in the same boat. Bought the same smoker. I already have a gas grill that will do the regular day to day work. I'm gonna use the smoker once a week or so for the fun projects that I plan out.

Fake news. Actually the Negative review say: I generally don't bother with reviews, but this grill was so terrible I felt the need to warn people. I was nervous during the assembly because the hardware was pretty low quality. On first use, the pellets wouldn't light. After three tries, it finally started working, but the temperature immediately climbed so high that it automatically shut itself off. The fire then entered the hopper, and I had to stand by with a fire extinguisher before that finally went out. I am new at pellet grills, so I double checked to make sure I didn't do anything wrong; next day I bought a Pit Boss and everything worked like a champ. In comparison, this grill was cheaper, but $350 is a lot to pay for garbage.

Ugh...been eyeing this brand and rectec...and was leaning towards rectec because of quality but this price seems an obvious buy. Anyone have this that can vouch for it. Does it get hot enough to cook steaks?

At this price, buy it before it's out of stock.

the big advantage to this is the hopper size. Literally dump pellets in it, set the temp and use a bluetooth temp sensor and never have to check on it, except maybe to baste or sauce the meat. The MB works fine but requires a little more work, if you want ease get the zgrill. I have an MB and like the capacity because i can smoke 4 pork butts or briskets at once. This zgrill is much smaller.

This one has a 10 lb hopper. Many other companies have a 20 lb hopper on it. So when doing a longer cook, like pork shoulders that could take 12-16 hours, you would need to monitor it and refill your pellets. Even so, I am contemplating on buying this to have as a secondary one!
